Ribbed Cavity
Side wall ribs permit the free flow of air around the payload and reduces internal temperature variations.
With a ribbed cavity and the resulting free flow of air around the payload, refrigerant can be placed in more convenient locations. For example dry ice can be dangerous to those unpacking the container. However, it is possible to pre-package dry ice within a corrugated container having handling tabs so that the dry ice can be removed without risking frost bite to the person unpacking the container.
