Insulating Containers

Interlocking Lid

STYLES - VARIATONS

Insulated containers with interlocking lids, i.e. tongue and groove, offer several advantages over free floating lids or flexible foam plugs.

  1. Increased thermal efficiency over lids on containers that freely rest on the tub walls.
  2. Increased structural strength of the container to withstand transit riggers and to provide multiple reuses.
  3. A more compact container profile reducing the likelihood of dimensional weight charges and reduced storage space requirements.
  4. Common material for both lid and tub to ease recycling issues and international labeling requirements and to precondition at the same rates.
